James Lileks

I was first introduced to James Lileks (his website, not him personally) through a friend of mine. She had directed me to a section of his site titled, 'The Institute of Official Cheer' which features among other things, very bad cookbooks, ghastly hotels and the artwork of Art Frahm which strangely features women with their panties falling down around their ankles, leering men and celery. All the sections are priceless. Lately I have been reading The Daily Bleat, and James has been one of the most insightful and thought provoking writers I have had the pleasure of reading for the last couple of months. If you haven't been to his site, go there. Liberal or conservative, you will not be disappointed.

Scandal for Whom?

Mint, I think dripping sound is coming from the mess the Clinton's left at the White House. I as pointed out today in The Daily Rant, the Washington Times has reported that Clinton administration officials, not just people 'tied' some politician were instrumental in getting price caps in California squashed.

Seems the more we hear about this, the more it has to do with a lot of big name Democrats. Drip....drip......

New College Courses?

Cal State responded to the Sept 11 attacks by offering some new courses regarding world events. Among the courses, 'Global Systems', 'United Nations and The World Community', 'Terrorism, Afghanistan and the Emerging World Order' and last but not least:

'The Sexuality of Terrorism.'

Well, at least it isnt being offered as a credit course as in Berkeley where apparently orgies and trips to strip clubs are now part of higher education.

Can I create one of these courses? How about "Flicking Boogers: Snots And Their Relationship To Feelings Over Terrorism."

Welcome to Right and Left!

This is going to be fun. 4-5 bloggers with a range of political ideologies all commenting on the issues. The quotes, the links, the punditry, the photos! Enjoy.
